Canuck poetry by Prof. Miguel Ángel Olivé Iglesias: A Shower of Warm Light upon this Land and Us.
Dear Donna,
At least a dozen Tamaracksers will have their poetry covered in the next major study of Canuck poetry by Prof. Miguel Ángel Olivé Iglesias: A Shower of Warm Light upon this Land and Us. They are Donna Allard, Henry Beissel, Ronnie R. Brown, Laurence Hutchman, I.B. Iskov, Eva Kolacz, Laurie Kruk, Michael Mirolla, Marion Mutala, Stella Mazur Preda, Elana Wolff, and Ed Woods.
His first study of our poetry, featuring 16 Tamaracksers — In a Fragile Moment — is to be published this month or very early in the new year. It will be launched at the University of Holguín, Cuba. Also, a book review of In a Fragile Moment will soon be published in Canadian Stories. Readings featuring the 16 Tamaracksers covered will begin during National Poetry Month. I wish to congratulate the Tamaracksers included by Prof. Iglesias in In a Fragile Moment and in A Shower of Warm Light upon this Land and Us on their success. On a personal note, both Norma and I will have new poetry collections out in 2020.
If I have no occasion to write until next year, Happy Winter Solstice, Happy Chanukah, Merry Christmas, and/or Happy New Year!
Canuck poetry Lives!
